Team Summaries Marlins Notes:
The Marlins survived a strong outing by Bryce C. by countering with strong pitching, stellar baserunning and some help from the Pels. If not for the aggressive baserunning, this game might still be going on tied at 1. P-nut pitched 3 strong innings, giving up the only run allowed by the Marlins. Steak Sandwich came in to close the door by pitching 4 scoreless innings and working out of an inherited bases loaded jam. Defensively, Fro-Do was the star, making a shoestring catch in the first and throwing out a runner from the outfield in the fourth. He also squeezed home a run and stole two bases. Offensively, Panger was the only bright spot for the Marlins, collecting two hits in the leadoff spot and creating havoc on the bases.

Pelicans Notes:
BryceC was on fire, recording strikeouts for 11 of the first 12 outs. Unfortunately, the few runners who made their way on base came around to score on Pelicans mistakes, and the Marlins opened up an early 3 run lead.

The Pelicans had their fair share of baserunners, but few came around to score. TravisR took one for the team, and NathanM picked up a ricochet for your typical 5-6-3 putout. Nathan got the Pels only RBI with another strange line - a 9-3 sacrifice groundout.

IanM pitched a strong final 2 innings to keep the Pels close.
