Team Summaries Marlins Notes:
The Marlins opened the 2003 season with a flop. Never getting on track, the Marlins committed 5 errors, struck out 12 times and walked 13 Astros en route to a subpar performance.

Joey C. came on to pitch a strong inning in the 7th and Baron A. did a splendid job behind the plate. The Astros were in mid-season form and showed the positive effects of playing a full spring slate. Bryce H. was awesome.

Astros Notes:
Bryce had a feeling going in that he might need to go the distance, and by keeping the pitch count low he was able to get through 7 innings against the pesky Marlins. Kani led off the game and Spencer and Sean added big RBI hits thatstaked him to a 3 run lead in the top half of the first. From there, Bryce did a lot of the work himself striking out 12 and walking only 2 while allowing only 4 hits. Big defensive plays by Yonnas and Griffen in the outfield kept the Marlins from mounting a rally.
