Team Summaries | Issaquah Notes: Lake Wash 1-2-0-0- 3 Issaquah 1-4-4-5- 14 Rough start for Issaquah as the purple and gold came out sloppy and sluggish and when they did generate some offense they ran into the best goalkeeper they have seen all year. Jonah Friedl definitely deserves a game ball. A few big saves early built his confidence and he made Issaquah work hard for every goal. LW took the early lead on man-up opportunity just minutes in. Alex Ciszewski finally got things rolling for Issaquah late in the period on a solo effort to knot it up. Issaquah took a 3-1 lead early in the 2nd but more big saves kept things close and the Kangs pulled one back. Teams traded goals before Ben Director's man-up tally stretched the lead back to two at half. The third quarter proved to be the difference as Issaquah cleared the ball much better and Julian Ritchie capitalized on several great looks after failed LW clears and good quick ball movement from Issaquah. Ritchie ended up netting 3 in the period to help Issaquah extend to a 9-3 advantage. Issaquah kept the momentum and stifled any hopes of an LW comeback. The final tallies came on empty net goals at the end with the Kangs pressing out. One of them was a varsity career first for Jack Corscadden. Brady Hahn made 3 second half saves to help back the 2nd half shutout. Gage Lenheim and Trevor Alexander each performed admirably in their career first starts on defense. More great work at the faceoff x and in between the lines from Mikey Giannopulus and Kole Lindor respectively. Lake Washington Notes: |
