Team Summaries | Sea Dogs Notes: Where do I begin? The Sea Dogs' distant cousins, the Rockhounds, played great baseball and the Sea Dogs looked a little rusty on defense and on the basepath Sunday. The game got away from the Dogs early as the Hounds scored 9 early runs in two innings. But the Dogs never gave up and continued to battle all the way to the end. On offense, the Dogs had their hitting shoes on. Leading the way was Sandman with two hits (including his 4th double of the season) and Itai, who has the early lead on most improved ball player! Keep it up Itai. The Dogs have a lot of work to do at practice on Friday. Despite the 17 run attack against the Dogs, the game ball went to Gramps who came in and shut the door on the Hounds in the top of the 6th, giving the Dogs a chance in the bottom half. Country Boy also slammed the door shut in the 4th and 5th keeping the game as close as possible and pushing the momentum over to the Dogs. But alas, it wasn't enough. Rockhounds Notes: |
