Mudcats Notes:
Mudcats and Red Wings sparred Friday evening at Bushrod field in what was a very close game.

The Red Wings took an early lead as the Mudcat defense took a couple of innings to warm up. Then late in the game the Mudcat bats came to life and put up 9 runs in 2 innings.

The Big-Z Lorenz had a stellar day, knocking in 2 RBIs. T-Dog had a pair of timely hits. And the Beard Mollard stretched an extra bases hit into a home run.

In a game where the Mudcats sent five different pitchers to the mound, we kept a strong Red Wings line up at bay. The Zen-Bone Crusher made the game very interesting in the 5th (final) inning. The bases were loaded and the winning run at 1st base, and he struck out the final batter. Nice work under pressure.
