Team Summaries Timber Rattlers Notes:
Another great day for field crew, as several Mudcats and T-Rats folks got out and cleaned up Montera until it fairly shone on an overcast day!

3 more T-Rats saw their first time on the mound in 2011, and they combined for 4 very successful innings! Strawberry worked himself in and back out of trouble, loading the bases in the first and second before striking out the key batter of each inning. The only hit he gave up was off the knob of the bat as a Mudcat bailed from a ferocious inside pitch - only to see the ball roll along the third base line for a clean single!

Bootsy gave up two hits and a run in his debut; 7Up flipped those stats, giving up two runs on a lone hit.

Red Bull, Kung Fu and Bullwinkle led the offensive attack; stringing together several great plate appearances in the 4th to plate most of the T-Rats runs.

Called up: Strawberry

Congrats to the Mudcats, whose pitching carried the day. 1 walk and 1 hit batter and fewer than 100 pitches over 6 innings is phenomenal, and explains the final result!

Mudcats Notes:
Mudcats were totally in their element Sunday morning--knee deep in MUD--as the sparred with the fearsome Timber Rattlers.

Once again Mudcats played an great game, behind strong pitching, ever improving defense, lots of base runners, and some key hits. Down to only 9 players for the day, the Mudcats left it all on the field.

Starting pitcher 'Zen Bone Crusher' Berrick was incredibly stingy with his pitches--and clearly using different speeds. 'Ace' Goldberg and 'The Beard' Mollard combined to keep the game under control and eventually shut the door.

On offense 'Wheels' Weinstein had the strongest drive of the game belting an awesome double into center field. B Hogg also had an impressive hit, knocking a pitch over his head down the third base line for a base hit. But aggressive base running was the name of the day with players stretching for extra bases where ever possible (except for that time one player didn't listen to his third base coach, Luc).

Thanks again T-Rats for the fun.
