Sea Dogs Notes:
That was a tough one. First, thank you to the Valcano's and the umpires for patiently letting the Sea Dogs get all of their pitchers in the game. The Sea Dogs can now boast that after last night's 7 pitchers in five innings of work, that 13 of 14 Dogs have been on the bump this season and toed the rubber (or at least a few inches from the rubber!) Thank you again Valcano's for being gracious and good sports, and to the umpires for being patient.

Now, how 'bout them dogs! Four Dogs made their career debut's at pitcher and the other three made just their second appearance. I for one, am VERY proud of them.

The Valcano's pitched and played defense very well and really shut the door on us. The Dogs swung the bats great and in many cases hit the ball very hard (IT, Peter Pan, and Gramps, to name a few), but unfortuantley the ball would end up in the glove of a confident and well coached Valcano.

Today's game ball went to Double M for his Pete Rose like attidude (I stole that parallel from Coach Mark), his great play in RC field throwing out a runner at first base, and his never say die cheering from the dugout as the dogs were trying to battle back from being 16 runs down in the top of the sixth.

Great job Double M. You're a great competitor and a terrific teammate.
