Timber Rattlers Notes:
After torrential rains overnight, there was some concern that this game wouldn't get in, but everything was in tip top shape as 530 approached.

It was cold at gametime, and the weather affected the starting pitchers. The T-Rats plated 4 in the top of the first after 2 were out with a series of small ball at bats (code for walks and errors), but they gave it right back in the bottom half of the inning. Score after 1 was 5-4 Sharks, with one hit between the two teams.

The rest of the game belonged to the T-Rats staff, tho. Strawberry, Lamb, Q and Bullwinkle combined for 10 Ks and 2 comebackers the rest of the way. Tremendous work by all the T-Rats pitchers!

The Hammerhead defense was working all night, converting several hard struck ground balls to outs. Despite their heroics, the T-Rats made noise in every inning, scoring in 4 of the 5 frames and loading the bases in the other. The highlights of the day were the biggest and the smallest balls in play: Q bombed a *huge* homer to RF leading off the 3rd and Wiffle dropped down a textbook bases-loaded RBI bunt in the 5th.
