BURIEN – Brendan Miller scored the go-ahead goal with 2 minutes remaining in regulation to give Highline a 6 – 5 boys high school lacrosse win over Klahowya, Monday at Burien’s Moshier Park.

Moving in on the cage from the off-side, the freshman attackman put a left handed bouncer past Klahowya goaltender Nehemiah Salo to complete the hat trick and seal Highline’s fourth win of the season.

Despite wrestling the ball from Highline several times in the final minute and a half of play, Klahowya was never able to mount a serious threat on goalkeeper Tanner Seramur.

After matching Klahowya with single goals in the first, Highline netted two unanswered goals in the second to take a 3 – 1 lead into the intermission. Klahowya came back, answering Highline’s single third quarter goal with three of their own to take a 4 – 4 game into the fourth and decisive quarter. In the final stanza both teams netted solo goals before Miller’s eventual game-winner.

Dan Radoll, Calabe Simpson and Larry Peneueta all scored solo shots for Highline and Seramur recorded 7 saves and 5 ground balls in goal. For Klahowya, Kevin Bastien and Jeff Haga both scored two goals and Nick Johanson netted a solo shot. Salo had 13 saves in the nets.
