Team Summaries	Whatcom Notes: Bellingham - The San Juan Dragons made the journey to play the Whatcom Warriors at Whatcom Community College in Bellingham, WA for both teams' first league game of the season. The game started out hot for Whatcom with 4 goals in the first period, but the soggy field conditions couldn't dampen the Dragon's spirits as Cody West put in 2 goals and Tate Brumsickle added another goal in the second period which kept the game close with the score going into half-time 5-3 Whatcom. In the third and fourth periods, Whatcom continued to pressure San Juan and by the end of the game four Warriors - Croker, Hallett, Clymer, and Mannering each contributed 2 goals a piece for a balanced and steady attack allowing Whatcom to earn a 9-3 victory over San Juan. Kurtis McFadden of Whatcom had 6 saves and Willy Dunn of San Juan had 14 Saves in what were very challenging conditions with a crease full of mud at both ends of the field. Both teams look forward to a rematch later in the season under, hopefully, drier conditions. San Juan Notes: A very young Dragons team encountered a much improved Whatcom team in their season opener. Whatcom came out strong, but San Juan held their composure and went into the half down 5-3. Both teams played hard the entire game and we wish Whatcom luck the rest of the way.
