Centennial - 3-4-3-0-1- 11
Issaquah - 0-2-5-3-0- 10

An exhausting game mentally and physically for the purple and gold made for an exciting one for the crowd.

Issaquah came out just plain dead as the body language showed no energy or desire to put up a fight. Centennial went to work with patient smart offense. When it was time to go they dodged hard at the net and finished. The Bulldogs built a 6-0 lead in the first 15 minutes of play, an absolute nightmare for Issaquah and frustration set in.

Kevin Powers and Jake Fritz helped get two back before the half, but Centennial led 7-2 at the break.

Issaquah got a goal just a minute into the second half and finally showed some life. Matt O'Neill provided a spark off the bench with two tallies in the period, but far too many mistakes on defense from Issaquah allowed the Bulldogs to essentially trade goals. Michael Hatcher's goal with 20 seconds left in the quarter helped Issaquah close the gap to three headed into the 4th.

With the game now in reach, Issaquah was full of energy and scored two goals inisde the first two minutes of the quarter to get within one. They continued to control the quarter but squandered chances. The defense rose to the occasion however and kept getting the ball back. It took until inside the last minute, but the overdue equalizer finally came as Ben Director dodged hard and patiently waited to get to the right spot to calmly bounce a well placed shot home. Issaquah then won the next face-off and after a quick timeout had 13 seconds on the clock to try and win it in regulation. A fairly well run play got Issaquah an open run towards net but a failed catch squandered the chance... on to overtime.

In OT, Issaquah again won the face off and had two doorstep chances to end it. Centennial finally cleared and had their first offensive possession. Issaquah's defense rose to the occasion again and after a scramble in front of the net had a chance to clear. The clear failed and Centennial capitalized in transition as Issaquah couldn't get back to the hole in time.
