Bellevue 0-0-2-0- 2
Issaquah 1-0-2-3- 6

Issaquah dominated possession from the get go but just simply couldn't find the net as Issaquah outshot Bellevue 21-2 in the first half. Austin Boyd helped Bellevue's cause with several good saves. The lone goal in the first half came in the first quarter as Matt O'Neill was able to put back in a rebound. Bellevue's best chance of the half came on a man-up but was stuffed at the doorstep by O'Neil Hughes.

Issaquah scored right away in the third quarter as Kevin Powers pushed a fastbreak and finished himself. Looked like Issaquah might finally start to breakthrough but not so fast. Bellevue got one back on a transition of their own. Though not a clear fast break, the speedy Hank Bethke pushed and beat Hughes low. Minutes later Bethke fed Andrew Gulrajani from behind and Gulrajani ripped a 10 yard blast top shelf to knot the game. However, Issaquah would regain the lead before the period expired on a solid ride from Jake Fritz. His steal and finish at the doorstep put Issaquah ahead for good.

With Bellevue still very much in the game, Issaquah finally came up with its best few minutes on offense. It started as Michael Hatcher dodged the right alley and finally was able to make a great look across to the back side by skipping a pass through traffic that found Matt O'Neill on the back pipe for the dunk. Minutes later Ben Director took charge and was able to dip inside and beat Boyd five hole with a cheeky lefty bouncer. Issaquah would add a well executed empty netter at the end.

Both defenses's played very well. Hats off to Austin Boyd for his 16 saves to keep Bellevue close. And hats off to Issaquah's defense for pitching 3 quarters of shutout ball and holding Bellevue to four goals less than their previous season low.
