| Team Summaries | DBacks Notes: OAKLAND, Ca. -- Mother Nature did everything in her power to prevent the game between the hosting Diamondbacks and Angels from being played in this mid-week showdown. Rain forced the game to be moved from Caldecott to Bushrod, but a diligent field crew got the impromptu location set for action. DBack fireballer Bump started the game on the hill and pitched three scoreless innings. Meanwhile, the DBack offense got to work early. After reaching base, Rerun quickly worked himself around the bases and scored on a sacrifice fly by Waldo for a 1-0 lead. Two more runs were added in the bottom of the 2nd inning for a 3-0 DBack lead. After the first two batters were retired to start the inning, B.A. ripped a single to centerfield. Gazelle followed by hitting a screamer to left that rolled to the fence allowing him to gallop around the park and an in-the-park home run. The DBacks scored the last of their runs in the bottom of the 3rd. Moose led off with a single. Sometimes followed with another single. Waldo knocked both in with a double to deep left. With a 5-0 lead, the DBacks turned to he bullpen. Sometimes and Curvy combined to allow just 1 run over the final 4 innings for a 5-1 victory, bringing their record to 3-2.
