Team Summaries Pelicans Notes:
The Pels enter Sunday afternoon's game looking to prove that their opener wasn't a fluke, facing a game young Astros team also riding an early season win.

The Pels handed the ball to Tigger, and happily watched him locate his fastball and changeups effectively in a 1-2-3 first inning. In the home half, Rhino took a bruise, worked his way to third and came home on Kirby's sac groundout. Sarge and Malibu put ducks on the pond again and for the second consecutive game, Cornflake delivered a 2RBI single.

The Pels' defense gave up individual runs in the 2nd and 5th, proving (in case there were any lingering disbelievers) that you can't give a good team 4 outs per inning.

In the bottom of the 5th, clinging to a 3-2 lead, they found some breathing room. The Pels accepted 5 walks and Sarge was hit by a pitch (the 4th batter hit on the day). Mix in a perfect suicide squeeze by Kirby, an RBI walk by Mosquito, and a 2-out-2-run opposite field single by Tigger and the Pels plated 6.

Rhino relieved and was immediately backed up by Bruiser, who did her best Willie Mays impersonation to haul in AsherJ's flip to left center.

The game young Astros staged a 7th inning rally to close within 4, before the Pels closed out the victory.
