Wow. What a game!! Northshore comes back from a late game two goal deficit to win in overtime!
This was a night for the brothers. Are there two brother combinations better than Jake and Cody Bernstein and Foster and Taylor Wisman in the state? Jake: 5 goals / 2 assists, Cody 6 goals, Foster 4 goals and 1 assist, Taylor: 2 goals and 5 assists. Holy cow!
This game was a Donnybrook. The Kangs opened up the game with two Bernstein Goals. Northshore stormed back with two Wisman goals. The first quarter ended tied at 3. Northshore got it going in the second quarter and the first half ended Northshore 8, LW 5.
LW Seniors Quentin Behr, and captains Mike Erikson and Trevor Watkins were honored at halftime.
The Kangs came out firing in the second half. Colin Story won some key face offs. The quarter ended knotted at 11 apiece. LW kept up the pressure into the fourth quarter, eventually banging out a 13 – 11 lead. Foster and Taylor finished strong, combining for two goals in the last 40 seconds, tying the game. The Wisman combination had just enough left in the tank to win the face off in overtime and score to end the game.
Luke Lattin showed that he is ready for prime time, with 14 great division 1 style saves, many from close range.
This was easily our most intense and exciting game of the season. Thanks so much to Northshore for the game!!
