| Team Summaries | Lake Washington Notes: Box Score: Q 1 2 3 4 F LW 2 2 3 2 9 S 3 0 3 0 6 This was the battle of the tall timbers in the Evergreen Conference. Both Sammamish and LW came into the game undefeated. This also was the first ever high school game to be played at the Seahawks / NWU field. LW opened the scoring with 2 unanswered goals. The Totems stormed back with excellent ball control offense to even the score at 2 all. Much of the first quarter the saw the ball in the control of Sammamish. The second quarter was a donnybrook as the teams traded scores. Both Luke Latin and Sammamish’s Scott Johnson were stingy in the nets, making many good saves. A flurry of late third quarter LW goals gave the Kangs a lead that they did not relinquish. The play looked more like a midseason game in terms of accurate passes and ball control. The Bernstein Brothers had another great effort, as Jake had a goal and an assist and Cody had a pair of each. Both Quintin Behr and Carson Brown tallied 2 goals and one assist. For Sammamish, Brian Headland had 2 goals and an assist, and Chris Paxton scored a pair. Matt Young tallied a game high 8 ground balls. The Kangs look forward to the rematch with the Totems in May!!
