Game Summary The Muckdogs (3-3) moved into a tie for 2nd place after taking down the 1st place Devil Rays (3-3) 9-5. The Muckdogs overcame an early deficit, built their lead, and shut the door in the last inning by striking out the Devil Rays with the bases loaded.

The Rays jumped to a quick 4-1 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning with run-scoring hits from Ryan Cohen and Sawyer Thompson. The Muckdogs clawed their way onto the scoreboard with aggressive base stealing, including stealing home, to capitalize on at-bats, including a double by Evan Velastegui.
Strong defense by Rays middle infielders Colman Adams and Cole Isip kept the team within striking distance.
In the last inning, the lower part of the Rays order set the table and loaded the bases for lead-off hitter Sean Senn, who was 2-3.While Muckdogs pitchers Ruben Drogin and Matthew Moser had both delivered strong performances earlier in the game, now it was up to Muckdogs closer Jerry Feist, who had struck out three in the fifth inning. Feist served up another strike out and the game was over.
