Great night for lacrosse and another classic it turned out to be between these two powerhouses.

Bainbridge struck first as Sam Snow rifled home a 17 foot bouncer into the upper corner on a man-up just four minutes in. Snow would get another five minutes later as a poor substitution from Issaquah gave Bainbridge a chance to break. Alex Crane found Jordan Wagner on the wing who hit Snow for the quickstick redirect. Tood Jones broke the ice for Issaquah with 1:30 left in the period. Jake Director initiated from up top and moved the ball below GLE to Jones. Jones caught it moving, curled around, sidestepped a defender and finally got one by Stevenson. The Bainbridge netminder made 8 saves in the quarter.

Issaquah tied it up four minutes into the second on an isolation from Director up top. He dodged and pinged the upper corner on the run. But Stevenson continued to turn back most of Issaquah's chances and Bainbridge regained the lead with just under a minute and half left when Cameron Parker came around cage and found Kevin Nguyen up top for the rip. 3-2 Spartans at half.

Issaquah needed a spark in the 3rd quarter and it came from Connor McClain. The senior LSM pushed a clear and gave the ball up to Jake Fritz. Fritz found himself tied up and rather then leaving to sub McClain stayed to help and Fritz managed to get the ball back to him. McClain dodged himself, dipping by a defender into the middle and rifling a sidearm shot past Stevenson's shoulder. Mcclain and the crowd were fired up. The next few minutes saw the best sequence of up and down play with both keepers making saves and keeping the game deadlocked. With 27 seconds left in the period, Todd Jones gave Issaquah its first lead, wrapping around righty from X and sneaking one in over Stevenson's shoulder.

Bainbridge wasn't done...more saves from Stevenson and halfway through the period, Bjorn Ostenson scored an almost identical goal to the one Jones had scored and at the same end of the field.

The final six minutes saw plenty of nerves and plenty of chances. With three minutes left, Director beat his man clean on the wing with a crafty face dodge but his shot went wide. With under 30 seconds left Director narrowly missed running down the alley and firing wide. Issaquah backed up the shot and with 12 seconds left ran a play to perfection to free Goldstein right on the crease. Stevenson made the save with his facemask! Overtime!

In OT, Bainbridge won the first face clean and Ross Cobb pushed a quick break, but Caeron Parker's shot sailed wide. Bainbridge then fed the crease and after Issaquah knocked it down, Connor McClain won the groundball and raced the length of the field...time out Issaquah. Out of the timeout, Jones pushed from X and fed Fritz but the pass was mishandled and Ben Skotheim cleared the other way...timeout Bainbridge. As the Spartans initiated Kevin Nguyen got free and fired a shot wide. On the ensuing possession, McCalin intercepted a pass and after losing it, Evan Greenahll scooped the groundball and raced 5o yards to settle to Jones. The situation remained slightly unsettled as Issaquah looked to sub. Jones found Kevin Powers on the wing. Powers dipped to the middle and when Bainbridge reacted he spun back to his right and fired a low righty bouncer that skipped up past Stevenson and into the side net... bedlam!!! The student body rushed the field and Issaquah headed back to another state championship!
