Team Summaries Issaquah Notes:
Bainbridge 2-1-4-1- 8
Issaquah 2-4-4-2- 12

The showdown for second place proved to be an entertaining game. Issaquah got things started just 35 seconds in as Jordan Goldstein scored unassisted. After teams traded several possessions, Sam Snow would tie it up for the Spartans with four minutes left in the period. Goldstein responded to put Issaquah back up but Bainbridge capitalized on a failed clearing attempt to tie the score at the end of one.

Issaquah took control in the second quarter, pushing out to a 6-2 lead, a lead they would never relinquish. Kevin Powers got it started as he pushed the net on a flag down. A minute later Goldstein found Jake Fritz on a skip pass in transition. Powers got another, followed by a Riley Goodman catch and rip off the crease.

Issaquah opened the second half with a man-up goal from Todd Jones as the Bainbridge keeper was caught out of net. The lead would extend to 8-3 on a second goal from Jones before Jordan Wagner looked to single handedly keep Bainbridge in it. His three straight goals cut the lead back to 9-6 before a Sam Snow tally pulled Bainbridge to within two. But, Issaquah had an answer and Jones scored his third of the evening to put Issaquah back up three to end the 3rd quarter.

Issaquah owned most of the possession in the 4th and extended to 12-7 as Kevin Powers completed his hat-trick off a rebound. Bainbridge scored the final goal of the evening before Issaquah ran out much of the clock.

Connor McClain and Riley Goodman did excellent work on the faceoffs all night and McClain helped keep Kevin Ngyuen scoreless.

Best win of the year so far for the purple and gold!
