Crunch (Solis) Notes:
The Crunch continued their season long strong effort in rebounding which was the “key to victory” over the Flaming Stuff, Crunch 29 – Flaming Stuff 27. This very close game began with the Crunch scoring the first 6 points, but then the Flaming Stuff ignited and scored the next 8 points. The Crunch doused the Flaming Stuff by recapturing the lead, 10 to 8, until 1:10 remain in the game when the score was tied by the Flaming Stuff at 27 all. Galen Evans scored the last basket for the Crunch victory but the Crunch would not have been victorious if Matthew Conroy (8), Galen Evans (7), T’Aundre Smith (5) and Nicholas Solis (5) had grabbed so many defensive rebounds. Galen Evans led the Crunch in scoring (13) and Shane Taylor played an all-around game: rebounding, steals, assists, blocked passes and scoring (6). Ben Fetzer, Trevor Patrick and Jake Swinderman played stout defense throughout the game.
