Crunch (Solis) Notes:
A coach's dream is to have his players buy-in to the concept that playing defense and rebounding creates scoring opportunities and wins games. Well, the Crunch were successful in their opening game against the Wildcats due to tenacious defense and rebounding. The Crunch opened the scoring and lead throughout the game to a 44 - 23 victory. Rebounding by Jake Swinderman and T'Aundre Smith opened up many fast-break baskets for Galen Evans and Matthew Conroy. Defensive pressure by Nick Solis and Ben Fetzer caused multiple turnovers that resulted in baskets made by Shane Taylor and Trevor Patrick. Coaches Solis and Swinderman can only hope that the Crunch players continue their desire to play defense and rebound against this week's opponent the And 1 Ballers.
