Team Summaries Northshore Notes:
A nice evening and a big crowd for the final game of the regular season. It looked tough for Northshore with four of our regulars out with injuries including one of our leading scorers Jake Dossett. JV attack JD Chapman was called up and assisted Bo Sellman to fill the void.

In the first quarter, Redmond got ahead 2-0 on extra man offense, followed by mostly back and forth action. NS scoring was led by attackman Scott Barclay who put together plays with middie Foster Wisman.

The second quarter saw no scoring though shots were fired, with NS goalie Stuart Dransfield stopping 3 and Redmond tender John Olin blocking 4. The defensive play in front of the goals was also intense on both ends of the field.

The third quarter saw some more offense, starting out with a goal by Redmond’s Hunter MacDonald on a feed from Tyler Dougherty to get ahead by 2. NS Taylor Wisman got through two times, the second on a nice feed across the middle from brother Foster to tie things up. Tough scrappy play led to a goal by NS Robert DeLisle on a feed from Bowen Hadley. Robert came back down field and put a solid body check on Redmond’s John Burke to knock the ball loose, but “Mr. Ground Ball” got it back and the slide was too late to stop a score that tied things up.

The fourth quarter started out with a Redmond illegal stick penalty. Northshore called a timeout, then came out and completed a man-up score by Taylor Wisman on a feed from Scott Barclay for the final score of the game with 10:57 remaining. After that it was back to a battle of the defenses, with few shots even getting to the goal line. NS Senior Chris Lee led the defensive squad, keeping up constant pressure to shut things off. The clock was running down with Stuart and Chris playing catch in the backfield, but Redmond's John Burke scooped it up for one more shot/save (phew!) at the horn.

Great game. Closely matched teams at every position. Good luck Mustangs in the playoffs.
