| Team Summaries | North County Notes: Both teams came out of the gate a little flat. Possession time was pretty close to even, slight edge to Redmond as both teams were trying to feel each other out. Only four shots were taken the whole first quarter between the two teams. At the end of the first it was Redmond 1, NC 0. The second quarter NC played great defense and was able to stop many fast breaks with a great slide. Redmond still found the back of the net twice though for a 3-0 halftime lead. At the start of the second half, I felt NC started to gain momentum until Redmond was able to finally exploit NC's defense for 5 goals in about 5 minutes. After that run, NC and Goalie Gunnar Grootuis stepped up again only allowing one more the rest of the game. NC had quite a few opportunities to score, and more possession time than we were used to, but were unable to capitlaize on those opportunities, only taking 11 shots on goal the whole game.
