| Team Summaries | Redmond Notes: Northshore 1-0-2-1 4 Redmond 2-2-2-1 7 It was a battle of the unbeatens for the lead in the Cascade Conference, with Redmond coming out on top in a hard-fought game. Redmond struck first with an unassisted goal by Barry McDonough just over 2 minutes into the game. John Burke scored the first of his team-high three goals shortly afterward, and the first quarter score favored Redmond 2-1. In the second quarter, Nolan Dahl’s 2nd period goal and assist added 2 goals to Redmond’s total. Redmond’s defense continued to deny Northshore good looks from close in, keyed by yet another great performance by goalie John Olin. At the half, it was a 4-1 lead for the home team. The teams continued their battle in the second half. Northshore netted 3 goals in the half, but Redmond answered each goal, with goals by McDonough, Burke and Jake Bernstein. Keys to Redmond's victory included a balanced scoring attack, with 7 goals by 4 players, tenacious defense and solid goalkeeping. Both goaltenders played outstanding games, each registering saves on point-blank shots that appeared to be sure goals.
