| Team Summaries | Tacoma Notes: For the second game in a row Tacoma came out slow on defense and fell behind 4-1 in the first quarter. The King's Way defense came out aggressive and rattled our offense, forcing us into a number of turnovers. But after that first quarter our defense came together and only allowed one more goal in the third quarter. This allowed Tacoma to chip away at the 3 goal deficit with 1 goal in the second, 2 goals in the third, and 1 goal with 4 minutes left in the fourth quarter to knot it up at 5. Tacoma seemed to dominate the time of possession in the sudden death overtime and took 4 quality shots, with the last one finding the back of the net with 44 seconds left to win the game. Hilger led Tacoma with 3g while freshman middie Alec Stewart recorded his first ever high school point with a third quarter goal. After a rough first quarter (1 save on 5 shots) Jones turned it around in the second half with 5 saves on 6 shots. King's Way Notes: |
