Senior Alex Carpenter led the defense with 3 ground balls and 2 takeaways. Junior defensement Greg McSullivan had a great first varsity game with 5 critical ground balls and 1 takeaway. Behind 3 - 5 at half, the tide turned when the Vandals got serious about the ground balls, eventually winning that battle 40 to 20.
