Team Summaries Diamondbacks Notes:
Diamondbacks beat Padres 7-4

In their 10th, and what hopes to be final, game (barring playoffs) at Willard Field the Diamondbacks used a 4-run rally in the 5th inning to beat the Padres 7-4. The D-backs were once again held together by a phenomenal pitching performance by Game Time. He pitched 4 2/3 innings, recording an eye-popping 11 of 14 outs by way of strikeouts.

The D-backs went quietly in the 1st inning, but rallied for 3 in the bottom of the 2nd. The rally was started when Twinkle Toe lead off with a walk and promptly swiped second base and later scored on a single from Game Time. Game Time quickly advanced to 3rd on a passed ball, after stealing to second. He later scored when Clutch hit a ground ball. Money Maker joined the run tally on an RBI single by Mr. Positive.

The Padres answered with 1 run of their own in the top of the 3rd. Game Time fell behind early in the count to Sam with a runner on 3rd. After two grooved fastballs, Sam caught up to one and blasted a shot to deep left center field for a triple. The game was tied 3-3 in the top of the 5th when Josh hit is 3rd double (of 4) in the game that plated two.

A 4-run D-back rally in the bottom half of the 5th put the D-backs up for good. The inning started on a walk by T-Bird, followed by a 3 straight singles from Cartmenez, Rope (RBI), and Twinkle Toe. A walk to Game Time and bean ball to Money Maker both drove in runs. The final run of the inning came when a heads-up Twinkle Toe scored following an errant throw to the pitcher.

Deuce came in to pitch the final 2 1/3 innings, allowing just 1 run on 2 hits. The win secured the D-backs a spot in the 4-5 seed matchup in the playoffs which begin June 7th.
