Tenacious defense and aggressive rebounding contributed to the Hot Tamales win over SUGA. Katie O’Loughlin and Elizabeth Adkins controlled the boards with seven and eleven rebounds, respectively. Elizabeth Jaber’s six rebounds only partially describe her contribution on defense as she was consistently in the mix under the basket. Offensively, Adkins added four baskets with O’Loughlin and Jaber scoring a basket each. Also contributing were Emily Gee, Rosie LaSalle-Klein and Daija Stafford bringing the Hot Tamales to 5-0. The SUGA struggled to find their form on offense. Remy McCon and Amber Bishop were bright spots for the Suga. Remy pulled down a team-high nine rebounds. Amber added three boards and a steal. Anjelica Ambrosini lead the team in scoring with five points. |
