Although the Green Blast were formidable opponents, the Hot Tamales relied on contributions from the entire team in order to prevail in the game. Elizabeth Adkins and Katie O’Loughlin established a fast tempo contributing offensively with 16 and 7 points, respectively. Elizabeth Jaber was very tough on defense and added 4 points to the game total. The Hot Tamales battled under the boards with a strong Green Blast team as Sam Whitney, Lily Tucker, Rose LaSalle-Klein, and Essense Hodge each fought hard to keep control of the ball and all three put in a basket each. Rachel Iverson and Emily Gee rounded out the team effort with solid defense. Marie Bertholdt led the Green Blast attack with seven points, three rebounds, and two steals. Taylor Owyang was tenacious on defense with five steals and six points. Rory Chipman showed great hustle in helping the Blast with three rebounds, two steals, and four points. Nicole Naulty contributed three points and three rebounds for the Blast.
