The Wed Wobins came from behind in the final minutes to defeat the strong Blue Ice in a very close game. For the Wobins, Sierra Taylor-Edwards dominated the boards with 10 rebounds including an offensive put-back in the final seconds, scoring the game-winning basket. Lauren Guererro, who had multiple key steals, sparked the Wobins' defensive effort early in the game. Georgie Harris sank 2 buckets, including an all-net jumper from 10 feet. Jessica Cavalli was superb on both offense and defense, and had an exciting breakaway in the 4th quarter. Emily Biereis was in control at point guard and consistently crashed the boards at both ends. Both teams were lead by their scorers BayRisk’s Hashimoto 12 points, Ist Capital’s Stebbins 14 points. BayRisk's Ocean Spikes scored her first basket of the year early in the game. Both teams were well-coached and played tough defense and executed on offense. |
