| Game Summary |
This was a total team effort from the Blasters in a very tough defensive playoff battle for both teams. The Blasters started off the game with free-throws from Josephine Boyd, Olivia McKeon, and Megan Cvitanovic. McKeon and Cvitanovic led the team in rebounding and blocked shots, while every Blasters player pulled down at least one rebound. The Blasters led for most of regulation, but the Shooting Stars pulled ahead by two on a 3-point shot by Corrie Kim. The Blasters' McKeon made a foul shot to narrow the gap to one point, and Rebecca Rochlin tied it up at the free-throw line with seconds remaining in the game. The Blasters were able to continue their stifling defense in overtime, and scored three more points to seal the victory. |
