In an exciting game, McDonald’s Untouchable Shooters win in double overtime Lisa Bertholdt led with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Kendall Miller was also a key player by driving down the court. She had 12 points and seven rebounds. Christina Pirrotta and Kennedy Russ had a great defensive game with a steal, rebound and an attempt, combined. Sara Cooper’s quick defensive reflexes contributed to their double overtime. She had two rebounds. The Red Hot Chili Peppers came up short against the McDonald’s Shoreline Untouchable Shooters, but not for lack of stellar plays and a great effort by the entire team. Meida Tautalatasi came on strong with 12 rebounds. Zoe Wagner had her first points of the year plus two rebounds and two assists, while Eileen Rhatigan played a gritty defense to hold off the Shooters. Rebecca Eggert had her first assist of the year and a great break-out game with two rebounds and two steals. At the end of regulation time, the score was tied at 26-26. The Red Hot Chili Peppers rallied with two points each by Skylar Perez and Simone Willcox in double overtime, but were bested by the Shooters in the nailbiting final moments of the game. |
