The Pirates fought off a furious Ballers comeback in the 4th quarter, getting solid defense from Jordan Wrobel and Karl Bliven down the stretch to seal the win and improve to 3-1. The Pirates were led in scoring by Sulaiman Hameed, who played his strongest game of the year, scoring 13 points, many of them on fast breaks. Palko Rezucha had a solid all-around game, contributing three points, three rebounds and two steals. Lead by high scorers, Gabe Macalino, 11 points, and Sam Kunz, 10 points, the Ballers waged a mighty battle with the Qlikview Pirates and in the 4th period, fought to bring the game to within 4 points. The entire Ballers team hit the floor running, blocking, stealing and shooting with points from teammates Jihoon Oh, six points, Will Johnston, eight points, Patrick Reilly, two points, and Alex Fernandez, two points, rounding out the offense of this hard-fought game. |
