In an overtime battle, the Carlson Quinn & Associates Jukesters outlasted the Lucky Charms. The Lucky Charms built an early lead behind scoring by Joe Riley and Steven Guintini and effective passing by Joe Silva and Max Lozada. For the Jukesters Andrew Rusca (six points, six rebounds) and Victor Verduzco (10 points, eight rebounds) got the Jukesters back in the game, pulling down key rebounds and scoring from the paint late in the first half. A comeback by the Jukesters to tie was fueled by aggressive drives by Rowland Markheim (seven points, five rebounds) and Sean Cunningham (12 points, four rebounds). Tied at 37 after regulations, the game was put away by the Jukesters on a 12-ft jumper by Nick Mainaga and two foul shots made by forward Andrew Rusca in the two minute overtime. |
