In a well-played, evenly matched game between two focused squads, the Alameda Advertising & Recognition Basketball Players defeated the Carlson, Quinn & Associates Jukesters. Zach Gordon had a career day for the Players, scoring 10 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and a steal. Biruk Gebreyesus led all scorers with 15 points, and had 11 boards, six steals and an assist. Andrew Melendez added six points, six boards, two assists and two steals. Ben Ingalls scored three, had two assists and two rebounds, and donned the bandana, collecting six steals. Robert Hansen ran the Players' offense, scored three, grabbed two boards and had two steals. Mikio Akima showed tremendous court presence, snatching five rebounds and five steals to go with two assists. Andrew Velez contributed with a board and a steal, and Joseph Chen played a critical role, bird-dogging the basketball in a very strong defensive effort. |
