In a game marked by stout defensive efforts by both teams, after three quarters, the Players led 14-10 before pulling away in the final frame. Biruk Gebreyesus led all scorers with 12 points and 20 rebounds, to go with four assists. Andrew Melendez collected eight points and four steals, and made a key block to foil a Charms' fast break in the second half. Chairman of the Boards, Ben Ingalls, grabbed 12 rebounds, scored four points and dished five assists. Zach Gordon collected seven rebounds and scored two points, while Mikio Akima added four points, two rebounds, three steals and two assists. Michael Tam and Joseph Chen rounded out the Players' scoring with two points each, and played key roles on the defensive end of the floor. |
