| Game Summary |
In a battle of undefeated teams, the Carlson Quinn & Associates Jukesters and Alameda Awards and Recognition Ball Players played a hard fought, precisely even game. The Jukesters got off couple early baskets and built an early lead, sparked by pressing defense. By half time the Basket Ball players had wresting the lead behind brilliant rebounding by Biruk Gebreyesus, Ben Ingalls and Robert Hansen. The lead changed hands repeatedly in the third quarter as the teams traded baskets with Andrew Rusca of the Jukesters again having a big game grabbing key rebounds and putting up six points Guard Robert Hansen of the Players was a warrior, stopped only by a injury that ended his good game in the 3rd quarter. Playmaker Sean Cunningham, 18 points, was able to get the Jukesters critical baskets late teaming up with his give and go partner in scoring, Rowland Markheim. The game was settled only in the last minute as Cunningham intercepted a pass and fired to Markheim for a breakaway basket that put the game out of reach.
