The Spartan battalion stung the Yellowjackets in a heated contest. Matthew Arnstein (four rebounds, three assists) topped the scoreboard with 10 points, including a sweet 3-pointer. Nathaniel Nguyen-Barkus (11 rebounds, three assists, one steal) and Julian Piamonte (five rebounds, two assists, four steals) added another six points each. Milad Esmatyar (four rebounds) delivered four points while Jarrod Cleto (five rebounds, one assist, one steal) nailed a bucket. James Choi, Kyle Soo Hoo, Jonathan Jones, and Matthew Mendoza rattled the Yellowjacket offense with strategic defensive maneuvers. The Yellowjackets were battling the Spartans for first place. They kept the game close with tenacious defense led by Tom McLean, Caleb Crayton and Blaik Brown. Collectively the trio had 12 rebounds, eight steals and four block shots. Avi Graber, Matthew Esparza and Chris Leahy each had three-pointers during key moments of the game. |
