| Game Summary | The Hobnob Hoopsters won their season opener with great defense and timely scoring. Chance Tillman led the charge with 19 points. Daniel Voisenat added four points; Mark Gustin and Dorian Lockett each scored two points. The game was close from start to finish with the Hoopsters playing tough defense to hold up the hard charging Spartans. The Spartans caught fire in the second half, battling valiantly against a fierce Hoopster offense. Top scorers Nathaniel Nguyen-Barkus and Julian Piamonte sank four field goals and two free throws apiece and took down 12 rebounds between them. Milad Esmatyar nailed a bucket while Matthew Arnstein added a point to the tally. Solid rebounding by Jarrod Cleto shored up a determined Spartan defense. |
