Game Summary | Linguini's Pizza & Pasta Fiery Cheezeballs hopes for an undefeated season went up in flames as Gillman's Gunners (www.vongillman.com) won a breathtaking game. It was a back and forth battle with the Cheezeballs ahead 19-15 with less than 3 minutes on the clock, but the Gunners fought back to trail 21-20 with 10 seconds to go. The Gunners managed to steal the ball and Cameron Putterman fed Alex Ingalls for the winning bucket with 2 seconds on the clock. Satchel Fisher played a terrific game with 12 points, Alex Ingalls added six points, four rebounds and four steals, Lean Nagrampa dropped in three points and grabbed five rebounds, Cameron Putterman swept the boards for seven rebounds and added two assists, Mingus Knox-White had three rebounds and three blocked shots. Anthony Lee, Christopher McCarver, Omar Thaxter and Alton Zheng all played solid team defense to help the Gunners. The Fiery Cheezeballs played a solid game but in the last minute produced too many fouls to keep their edge. High scorer for the Cheezeballs was Point Guard Sebastian Silva with ten points, five rebounds, two blocks, two assists and a steal. High rebounder was Center Anthony Riley with 15 rebounds, seven points, two steals and two blocks. Point Guard Isaiah Baluyot put up two points, two assists and a steal. Forwards Christian Gross and Shota Maehara helped keep the opponent out of the paint with tight zone defense and had a combined four rebounds. Point Guard Tobey Lee put up a bucket, had three steals, four rebounds and gave two assists. |
