The Wolfpack fell behind early but a balanced scoring attack and some good team rebounding helped turn the Ligers back. Stephen Northington made key baskets and Sean Brooks playing in his first game back after a broken hand stepped up the defensive aggressiveness in the 2nd half and forced turnovers to keep the Ligers from making a comeback. The Wolfpack win evens their season record at 2-2. The Ligers played undermanned due to bouts with sickness, but they fought valiantly with a willing six players. Bronson Lee had a monster game down low, flexing his offensive muscles for five points and 14 rebounds. Kai Schniedegers had his best offensive showing of the year with six points and seven rebounds. Vincent Republicano ran the team like a general with seven points, five steals and four assists, while continually feeding the big men down low. Mica Sanchez, KC Sablan and Tyler Middleton played with great heart and passion both defensively and on the boards. |
