The Fiery Cheezeball’s won their second game of the season with Tobey Lee and Anthony Riley showing up as fierce competitors with fourteen steals between them and six points each. Edmon Yau scored his first bucket of the season and was a huge defensive contributor. Sebastian Silva controlled the ball well, put up two points and helped steady the team. Christian Gross provided a strong presence from his forward position by grabbing rebounds and keeping the opponents out of the paint. In a very physical game the Fastbreak played a strong game with a balanced scoring attack, but were out-rebounded by the bigger Cheeseballs. Colin Karch led the Fastbreak with three points and eight rebounds. Tony Torres and Kyle Averit contributed four points and four rebounds each. RJ Pimentel and Jacob Cala also contributed two points each as well. Xavi Mullings did a fine job of bringing the ball up and finding the open man against a trapping defense. Francisco Pedraza and Gabriel Portis both played hard aggressive basketball on defense. |
