In a fiercely fought contest from toss up to the final whistle, The Liger's signature rebounding and defense, added to some timely free throw shooting allowed them to squeak out a victory. The Ligers made 8 out of their final 9 free throws to seal the victory. Vincent Republicano and Angel Munoz did the bulk of the scoring with 11 and 10 points respectively. The ferocious rebounding was a product of the whole front line crashing the boards, but Tyler Middleton stood tall with a couple very key rebounds. Toan Nguyen and Bronson Lee provided some much needed interior defense in crunch situations down the stretch. |
