The Johnson & Jolley Alameda Orthodontic Fireballs held on for the very close win over the Emerald Packaging, Inc. Wildcats. The Fireballs improve their record to 6-2 with two games left in the season and help position themselves for a playoff run. Dominic Castro and Jake Hugger each contributed pre-game baskets while Nick Griego, Derrick Jensen and Max Swinderman provided awesome defense when it was needed most. Max Schmitz led all scorers with eight points. The Wildcats played an outstanding defensive game, but had trouble getting their shots to fall. Jared Kathman led the scoring with seven points and six rebounds. Isaiah Harris had four points, five steals and two blocks. Edgar Guzman had the rebound machine in high gear, with 11 boards. Dylan Bell played tough trapping defense and had two key steals. Connor Waterloo hit the boards hard and defended the baseline extremely well. |
