Team Summaries Curtis Notes:
Issaquah 0-1-3-4 (8)
Curtis 1-2-3-0 (6)
A two half game that ended with Issaquah on top. Curtis came out ready to play. The first quater showed good ball movement and possesion on Curtis' part with a goal finally being scored by Andy Lehr from Jamie Yergler. The 2nd quater was again dominated by ball movement and possesion by Curtis who scored early in the 2nd to go up 2 - 0. Issaquah came back with a goal at the 5 min mark to make it 2 - 1 and then Jamie Yergler had an unasisted goal to put Curtis up 3 -1 at half. The first 7 min of the 3rd were dominated by Curtis putting 3 more goals in to go up 6 - 1. At this point Mr. Frye from Issaquah put the team on his back and took over. He assisted the first of 3 quick goals in the latter part of the 3rd and scored the last 2, to finish the 3rd with Curtis up 6 - 4. The 4th quater showed Curtis playing a run and gun style instead of the controlled offense that got them the lead. Issaquah took advantage of this and ran off 4 goals in a 3 min 20 second period. With 6:40 left in the game Issaquah was now up 8 -6. A defensive battle insued with no goals being scored and Issaquah showing their heart and athletisism to hold off an aggressive Curtis. Hats off to Issaquah for never quiting and showing the heart of a great team. Compliments to Mr. Frye for showing his team they were still in it and showing what a true leader he is.

A fun one to watch. A tough one to stomach. A true battle of will.

A well officiated game.

Issaquah Notes:
Issaquah 0-1-3-4- 8
Curtis 1-2-3-0- 6

Throw in all the cliches...tale of two halves...like night and day...etc. Issaquah showed the effects of the long bus ride south coming out completely flat. Curtis played a sound, fundamental, smart, ball controlled offense. The Vikings truly dominated the first 17 minutes of the game, shutting out Issaquah and building a 2-0 lead.

Things didn't look much better for Issaquah to start the second half and Curtis built a 6-1 lead with under 6 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter. Then Cale Frye began to take matters onto his shoulders. He won a groundball in his own end, raced 40 yds up field and rifled a pass to Joey Henderson to start the comeback. He then scored two himself to close the quarter and pull Issaquah to 6-4.

Todd Jones squeeked one through early in the 4th to keep momentum rolling before Alex Bates ripped an absolute man-up laser to tie the game with 9 minutes to play. Cale Frye completed his hat-trick 2 minutes later to put Issaquah up for good.

After trailing 6-1, Issaquah pitched a 7-0 shutout over the game's final 17 minutes. The defense was sparked with a superb effort from Connor McClain.
