The SJN Lightning took on their SJN rivals the Golden Griffens and struggled in a 33-49 loss. The loss evened the Lightning's record @ 2-2.
The SJN Lightning jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead, thanks to two long 3 pters from Jeremy. The Lightning never scored again in the 1st QT and were down 6-11. The Lightning then picked up the pace and reversed the 2nd QT scoring, winning 11-6, to even the score 17-17 at the half.
In the 3rd QT, the Lightning played one of their worst QTs ever, being outscored 18-3, and went into the final QT, down 20-35. Nothing on offense or defense seemed to work. The Lightning basically played even with the Griffs in the 4th QT, only being outscored 13-14, but too little, too late. The 3rd QT did them in.
The Lightning look foward to getting back leading scorer Greg Tarr(fractured wrist) for next week's game vs JCC-Baron.
