Game Summary | In an otherwise very tightly contested game, the Rainiers prevailed on the strength of one big inning, scoring 12 runs in the bottom of the second. High points for the Rainiers offense during the second inning were Ian McArdle's triple with the bases loaded, and Chase McVeigh-Walker's double with bases loaded, also clearing the bases. David Joseph-Goteiner started the inning with a hit, and later walked, to score two runs. Jim Parker had two walks and scored twice. Hitting for the Dodgers, Elliott ??? led off the top of the second with a triple, but did not score. Will ??? was 1-2 on the day, with a walk. Liza ??? was also 1-2, leading off the fifth with a spanking single through short. Ian McArdle pitched three innings for the Rainiers, giving up only one hit, and striking out four. Adam Simons held the line (2 IP, 3 SO), and David Joseph-Goteiner closed out the sixth. Bryan Farb pitched well without luck for the Dodgers. Will ??? came in to get the final out in the second inning, and faced the minimum six batters during the third and fourth. Andie Romanoff pitched out of a bases loaded situation in the bottom of the fifth, yielding no runs. |
