| Game Summary | In a seesaw battle of sluggers and poor defense from two tired teams, the Sounds outlasted the Sugar Kings 28-23. The game saw 22 legitimate hits, lots of walks and errors, and lots of first time pitchers on the mound for each team. Despite fielding problems, there were several brilliant defensive plays by both teams throwing out runners at the plate. The score went back and forth all afternoon, with the Sounds finally pulling away in the top of the sixth. |
