In an exciting matchup between the East Ocean Seafood
Restaurant Team Xtreme and No Fear, Team Xtreme had a
breakout fourth quarter to win 34-22. With Team
Xtreme leading most of the game, No Fear rallied
within one point in the fourth quarter, but allowed
Team Xtreme to go on a 13-2 run to finish the game.
Team Xtreme’s fast break offense, lead by Maddy Lewis
(17 points, 10 steals, 4 assists) and Layla Stebbins
(10 points, 8 rebounds), overcame No Fear’s
significant height advantage. It was Team Xtreme’s
trapping defense, lead by Kat Dimitruk and Jessica
Cavalli, that allowed Team Xtreme to generate 22 total
steals. The assist of the game came from Keturah
Hogan, who made a beautiful pass to Dimitruk for an
uncontested layup.
