| Team Summaries | Issaquah Notes: Garfield 1-1-3-2-1- 8 Issaquah 1-4-0-2-0- 7 Another instant classic as is always the case with these two teams. The 1st quarter was scrappy, unsettled and very up and down. Had both teams kept up the frantic pace each side would have collapsed by halftime. Things settled down in the second quarter. After a shaky start, David Campi had a hand in each of Issaquah's four 2nd quarter goals. 5-2 Issaquah at half. 3rd quarter was a stalemate until under 2 minutes. Garfield took advantage of a man-up to spark a quick 3 goal spree that tied the game headed to the 4th. Issaquah scored 20 seconds in to regain the lead and again the majority of the period became a stalemate. With under 3 minutes left, Jason Travis took a pass from Snider and tied it. A minute later, David Campi put Issaquah right back on top. Danny Hoffman tied the game with 30 seconds left. Issaquah had a shot at the buzzer, but Jason Montoya made the save and forced overtime. In OT, Garfield won the face-off and after a shot wide retained possession. Snider and Hoffman criss-crossed up top, both defenders jumped the ball, Hoffman made the pass to Snider and he ripped it from about 12 yards for the game winner. Garfield Notes: |
